Q: What is Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)?
A: The Collision Damage Waiver, or CDW, is optional collision coverage available to customers for an extra fee. The CDW transfers some risks from the car renter to the rental company, reducing responsibility for loss or any damages to the vehicle. It also reduces insurance excess*, regardless of fault, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the Rental Agreement. CDW is billed according to the per day rate on the rental record, for full or partial rental days, based on your accepting this coverage at the time of rental or based on the selections you made. Please make sure to read the Terms and Conditions for additional information and exceptions.

Q: What is Personal Accident Insurance PAI?
A: The Personal Accident Insurance, or PAI, offers Accidental Death, Permanent Total Disability, and Permanent Partial Disability caused by bodily injury to Fast Rent A Car renters and their passengers as per the seating capacity of the rented vehicle.
If you accept this coverage, the PAI will be billed according to the per day rate shown on the rental record for all full or partial rental days. We do not refund any charges made after the rental.
Q: What is excess insurance?
A: Excess insurance is charged to the renter for all faulty accidents (in the event of accidents caused by the driver’s mistake). This charge varies depending on the type of rental (daily/weekly/monthly). Please make sure to refer to the brochure for the applicable charges.
All vehicles at Fast Rent A Car are insured in the UAE and for any trips outside the country. Please make sure to check with us for any special terms and charges.
Q: Can anyone drive my rented vehicle apart from myself?
A: Any additional drivers must be declared and they should comply with the age and driving license requirements. Additional drivers will be charged AED 20. Please check the Terms and Conditions for more details. |
